New residential roof installation in Sanford FL
AGU Roofing and Solar was out in Sanford FL this week installing a brand new roof for a homeowner. This job in Sanford was a full roof replacement, and the home had an older tile system that needed to be updated. The project manager said the shingles and tiles were starting to wear from heat and storms, so the homeowner decided it was time for a new roof that would last longer.

We started early in the morning and got the old roofing material off. Tile roofs take a little more time because each section has to be removed without damaging the underlayment or the decking. After everything was off, we checked the wood deck and fixed a few small areas that had some soft spots. Once the prep work was done, we put down new underlayment. This helps the roof stay dry and protects the home during heavy rain.

The roof lines on this home are pretty complex, with a lot of hips and valleys, so the crew took their time to line everything up straight. The house sits not far from the RiverWalk area, a spot folks in Sanford visit all the time. Working around here feels familiar since we do a lot of roofs in this part of Seminole County.
After the tiles were installed, we sealed all the vents and checked the flashing around edges and walls. A lot of leaks come from these spots, so our team makes sure nothing is loose. We cleaned the yard and driveway before finishing, and the homeowner was really happy with the final look.
