New Roof Installation Near Lake Florence Park in Montverde FL

AGU Roofing and Solar recently completed a full roof installation on a home in Montverde FL, located in a quiet neighborhood not far from Lake Florence Park. The homeowner needed a complete roof replacement on a larger home with a pool, mature palm trees, and a well kept yard. We came out, pulled the old roofing material, and installed brand new charcoal gray architectural shingles across the entire roof.

New Architectural Shingles on a Multi Section Roof

The drone photo shows the finished roof from directly above. You can see how clean and uniform the new shingles look across every section of this home. This was not a simple roof. The house has multiple levels, several hip lines, ridge caps running in different directions, and valleys where the roof planes come together. Getting the flashing right in every valley and making sure each ridge line is sealed properly is what keeps water out when those central Florida storms roll through.

You can also spot the roof vents spread across the top sections. Those vents are there to let hot air escape from the attic space. In Florida, attic temperatures can get well over 150 degrees during the summer if there is no ventilation. That kind of heat breaks down shingles from underneath and drives up cooling costs inside the home. When we do a roof replacement like this, we always check the venting setup and add or replace vents as needed so the new roof lasts as long as it should.

A lot of homeowners in Montverde and the south Lake County area call us and ask whether they should go with architectural shingles or three tab shingles for their new roof. Architectural shingles are thicker, have a more textured look, and hold up much better against wind and weather. Most manufacturers rate them for higher wind speeds and they come with longer warranty coverage. For homes here in central Florida where wind driven rain is a regular thing, architectural shingles are what we recommend almost every time.
